Who is Giselle?
Hello! My name is Giselle. I am thrilled to be here! I am a post graduate Registered Clinical Social Work Intern who is passionate about helping people.
Everyone has a journey. I also have a journey. Growing up in The Bronx, New York, I have endured my own struggles as an adolescent, teenager and even through adulthood. I feel with my experience, we can walk this path together while helping you discover the tools you already possess to exude your most authentic self while finding balance, empowerment, and purpose. I really find pleasure in relating and helping teens and adults who identify as women in a judgement free space with issues unique to their journey.
I found my way into social work through victim advocacy. I have supported as well as advocated for survivors of domestic violence and sexual abuse while working at a government agency that helps survivors navigate through the criminal justice system. While I have experience in working with survivors of domestic violence and sexual abuse, I also have experience with working with individuals who have struggled with depression, self-esteem and body issues, life transitions, anxiety, caregiving and loss, burnout, relationships and breakups, co-dependency, dissociation, sexual dissociation, and eating disorders. I have worked with the LGBTQIA2S+ population and BIPOC individuals.
I am Puerto Rican (NuYorRican) and I am trilingual. I speak English, Spanish and Spanglish.
Life is hard. Let’s navigate together in this journey called life. It would be my honor to serve as your guide though your journey and help you achieve your Innerglow. Want to join me?
