Who is Molli?
Hello! I’m Molli. I’ve been working in the social services field for over five years. I am a licensed clinical social worker with a master’s degree in social work from the University of South Florida. My educational background also includes a bachelor’s in psychology with a minor in biology from the University of North Florida. My education reflects my passion for helping people. Currently I work as a school-based social worker working with children, adolescents, and their families. At the schools, I provide crisis intervention, individual, and group counseling to emotionally support students, parents, and staff. I love to work with children and adolescents as they grow and succeed.
I also have experience working with individuals and families experiencing severe illness and loss. In particular, I worked closely with children and families navigating childhood cancer in the pediatric oncology unit at Johns Hopkins. I have worked closely with COVID patients and families since the start of the pandemic. Lastly, I have experience with crisis counseling following sudden death or severe and life altering injuries.
I love empowering the people that I work with to help them to break negative patterns or beliefs and live a fulfilling and enjoyable life. I pride myself on offering a safe and judgment free space in every session. I know you are the expert of your life and experience, and I will honor that through dignity and respect. I have experience working with adults, children, and teens and I have a unique interest in working with the LGBTQIA+ community. I provide trauma informed care while using a strengths-based approach when working with clients. I apply evidence-based practices tailored to each individual client. As a lifelong learner, I’m always learning and working to continue to grow my skills staying up to date on current research and attending trainings to better serve my clients.
I was born and raised in Gainesville, Florida but came to the Tampa Bay area in 2017for graduate school. I enjoy hanging out with my friends and family including my beautiful cat, Sylvia of course! In my spare time I enjoy reading, listening to podcasts, and going to the beach. I enjoy laughing and using humor in my personal and professional life! I never want to take myself too seriously and always appreciate a good dad joke!
